I’m Tylar - a natural light photographer in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a native Californian with an old, Midwestern soul. My biggest dream is to raise my family on a big farm with all of the animals we can fit. When I'm not behind my camera, you can almost always find me playing with my daughter, drinking coffee, reading or gardening with my many chickens.

I graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2013 with my bachelors degree in editorial photography. Two years prior to that, I met my husband Max. We tied the knot in September of 2017 and in October of 2021, our sweet little girl joined our family. Life has truly never been as sweet as it is right now.

I’ve been photographing weddings and families for over a decade, and I still get goosebumps every single time I’m behind the camera. I’m all about those real, authentic moments—the giggles, the happy tears, the “you didn’t know I was watching” kind of glances. Give me golden hour and people who love each other, and I’m in my happy place.

As a past bride and new mom, I have a new respect about being trusted to capture such important memories for others. You’ll have these photos forever, passed down through generations! It's my goal to make this experience as fun, comfortable and easy as I can for you. I’m so excited to photograph these treasured days for you and to make these photos some that you'll always look back on with gratitude and love.
